The Business Women of Egypt 21 (BWE21) launched online platform for regional business integration to empower women, BWE21’s President Yomna El Sheridy said on Saturday on the sidelines of the 6th Women for Success conference.
Held under the title of “Digitalisation of Eco System” on 22-25 February in Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh, the event hosts delegates from more than 25 Arab, European, and African countries including women business leaders.
El Sheridy said the association holds its conference this year to complement its active role in supporting economic and social development of women and enhance dialogue and communication channels among business leaders and state officials.
She mentioned that the association hosts more than 20 conferences and forums every year.
She pointed out to that the new platform so far comprises Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco, adding that the BWE21 is working to add more countries, such as Germany.
El Sheridy said the platform includes female members of businesswomen associations in the Middle East and North Africa region, in addition to local and international organisations that support women.
The platform focuses on digital transformation, entrepreneurship, how technology affects small and medium-sized companies, and financial inclusion.
