Intercom Enterprises targets EGP 400m technology solutions sales in 2020

Intercom Enterprises aims to achieve EGP 400m worth technology solutions sales by the end of the year.

The government sector represents about 25% of the company’s business volume, and it is expected to increase in the coming period thanks to the new national projects such as digital transformation and electronic archiving, said Mahmoud Abo Daoud, Chief Technology Officer and Enterprise Solutions Sales Director at Intercom Enterprises.

He told Daily News Egypt that Intercom Enterprises has several partnerships with international companies, most notably Cisco, Dell, BMC, and SAP. The technology solutions offered by the company target all sectors in the Egyptian market, he added.

The banking and government sectors are the most beneficiaries of the company’s products

, accounting for 50% and 20-25% of the company’s business volume in 2019, respectively.

Abo Daoud said the company’s annual business volume is about EGP 1bn, and it aims to increase it by 30% this year.

The company seeks to provide integrated solutions in the banking, government, oil, and communications sectors at a time when the number of its corporate clients reaches 500, with a work team of 300 engineers and technicians. Intercom Enterprises seeks to increase its employees by 20-30%.

The company has developed a plan to expand regionally in the coming period.

Abo Daoud said a new unit specialised in cybersecurity systems solutions is scheduled to open in June, targeting a business volume of EGP 250-300m.

He said the company supplies devices, networks, site installations, technological and security systems solutions, in addition to electronic archiving, and it seeks to expand in new fields, including artificial intelligence technology.

However, the company faces several challenges in the Egyptian market, most notably the lack of skilled cadres in new technical fields, as the company had to train its employees to keep pace with technological development.

He added the company has major customers in the industry in the fields of banking, financial services, government agencies, oil and gas, and communications. Among the most prominent services that the company provides is planning, design, management project implementation, support, training, IT, consulting services, and more.

Intercom is also working on expansion in the field of business solutions; communication and information management systems; extracting, transferring, and downloading data; digital transformation, electronic archiving, artificial intelligence and robotics, and system operation management.
