Ali Eissa, Chairperson of Egyptian Businessmen’s Association (EBA), has called on EBA members to raise awareness on the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its prevention measures in the factories, companies, and offices.
In a private statement on Saturday, Eissa said that private sector companies will support their employees to overcome this unprecedented worldwide crisis. He asserted the importance of companies’ dedication to the government’s recently announced precautionary measures. These include a night curfew, social distancing, amongst other measures.
EBA member Dalia Al-Sawah has praised the economic decisions recently taken by Egyptian authorities to stimulate the economy and the stock market, which reflected positively on the performance of stock market indicators.
Al-Sawah called on the government to take another package of decisions to encourage industrial investments and attract foreign direct investments (FDIs) in various sectors through tax, custom, and banking incentives.
EBA is a non-governmental, non-for-profit organisation that seeks to unify the efforts of private Egyptian interests in contributing to the productivity and efficient national economic and social development of Egypt.
In order to carry out these duties, the EBA had to be at the forefront in lobbying on behalf of the Egyptian business community to protect its interests and enhance the private sector existence.
