The Chamber of Information Technology and Communication (CIT) and the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) have announced their cooperation in setting up an IT help desk against the coronavirus.
The move comes as part of efforts to meet industrial sector and FEI member requirements in efforts to curb the further spread of the novel virus.
The initiative includes allocating call centres providing support on inquiries and assistance to factories to help them overcome obstacles. They will also provide assistance for industrial establishments in monitoring casualties, in addition to sterilisation and disinfection operations.
The IT help desk will also provide meeting management support via video calls and video conferencing. The software help desk will meet factory requirements for communications and loggia for IT Services and Solutions.
FEI Chairperson Mohamed El Sewedy said the challenges posed by the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) present a good opportunity for various sectors to acquire new experience in using modern digital solutions and services.
