A heart disease patient and three security guards at the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation in Aswan governorate have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).
The foundation said in a statement late Wednesday that the Health Ministry was informed of the new Covid-19 cases to take the necessary procedures.
The foundation added that it took the needed precautionary measures at the hospital since the coronavirus emerged in Egypt to ensure the safety of its healthcare workers and patients. It also conducted regular health checks to its patients, doctors, and hospital staff.
To curb the spread of the virus, the infections and those who have been in contact with them have been quarantined, and the whole place has been disinfected.
The Health Ministry reported on Wednesday 110 coronavirus infections and 9 deaths, bringing the country’s total to 1,560 patients and 103 deaths.
