Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG) has donated EGP 62m to support Egypt’s combat against the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.
According to a Friday statement, the donation was split among several recipients.
Up to EGP 25m went to the Tahya Misr Fund, EGP 25m to “A Decent Life” initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to improve living conditions for the country’s most needy, and EGP 8m to the Health Ministry.
The TMG has also donated 10 ventilators, in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, to local hospitals.
The funds came as part of the company’s social responsibility, aiming to help the state ease the repercussions of the pandemic, according to the statement.
