Hyde Park Developments (HPD) has supplied three hospitals with 2,000 coronavirus (COVID-19) detection kits as part of the efforts to protect medical staff.
The three hospitals which have received the tests are El-Demerdash Hospital, which received 480 kits, Abu El-Reish Hospital, which received 520 kits, and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) which received 1,000 kits.
HPD provided the test kits to enhance the hospitals’ capabilities and provide them with the medical devices to protect their employees and medical teams against the coronavirus outbreak.
The company said the rapid tests are able to show results within minutes, reducing the chances of infection spreading in hospitals.
Amin Serag, CEO of Hyde Park, said the company believes in the importance of cooperation between the private sector, government and civil society to overcome this crisis.
“It is a critical period that requires solidarity of all and work in a unified manner to protect the homeland, as the government is making its best and works in full swing in order to protect people,” Serag said. “It is human responsibility – before social responsibility – that the real estate sector participate with everything that it can to support the state and individuals.”
Earlier this month, Hyde Park signed a protocol with the Misr El Kheir Foundation providing quarantine hospitals nationwide with 10 ventilators. The donation of the ventilators ensures that the hospitals can enhance their treatment capabilities.
