Eman Shaker, deputy of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority’s Remote Sensing Centre, said that Egypt will see temperatures drop to 29C north of Cairo on Saturday.
During a televised statement on state television on Saturday, Shaker also said that light rain was forecast in some areas along the North Coast on Saturday. This is set to take place alongside windy and unstable weather.
She added that temperatures will continue to decrease on Sunday, but are set to rise again mid-week to 36C on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Shaker also said that temperatures are moving according to a very moderate curve, with current temperatures reportedly not as high as in previous years. Weather forecasts for the same periods in previous years show temperatures were already up to 40C.
