Coca Cola is funding the distribution of over one million bottles of water, at a cost of EGP 3.7m, to hospitals dedicated to treating coronavirus (COVID-19) patients.
The move comes as part of the company’s support for Egypt’s healthcare professionals during this challenging time, as they battle the ongoing pandemic.
“This initiative entitled “Together… We will make it through the Crisis” aims at supporting the Egyptian government in its strenuous efforts to combat the coronavirus crisis,” said Ahmed Rady, General Manager at Coca Cola Egypt – Atlantic Industries.
Rady added that over the past 134 years Coca Cola has shared both good and bad times with Egyptians. The company is launching several initiatives that aim to combat the consequences of the outbreak and spread awareness on preventive measures to alleviate the crisis.
Intending mainly to boost the morale of healthcare professionals, Coca Cola will decorate its bottles with messages of gratitude and appreciation to every doctor in the “white army”, as messages of solidarity and support.
