The Ministry of Public Enterprise Sector has signed two cooperation protocols with the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) and the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) to digitally promote products.
Minister of the Public Enterprise Sector, Hisham Tawfik, said the protocols come as part of the ministry’s implementation of the digital transformation plan and cooperation with the private sector.
Ibrahim El-Araby, Head of FEDCOC, and Mohamed El-Sewedy, Head of the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) attended the signing of the protocols.
The protocol for digital transformation at FEDCOC aims to help companies operating in the Egyptian market to display and sell their products through a digital platform in cooperation with the ministry, El-Araby said.
The new service is expected to be provided to about half a million companies affiliated to FEDCOC.
The cooperation protocol with the FEI provides an e-catalogue service to display products by Egyptian companies, regardless of their size. This will occur through the El Nasr Import and Export Company in 13 international centres, Tawfik said.
The minister said that the project will start by focusing on the North Africa region, and will be launched after Eid Al-Fitr.
