Company seeks to become a platform available to all training and development companies in the Middle East, says Yasser Fathy
As Egypt witnessed a huge wave of digital transformation, Alacademia.com (The Academy) for distance education has been officially launched with $2m of investments, the company announced on Sunday.
The platform aims to provide specialized on-demand training programs in various fields, including personal skills, business management, development and guidance in addition to specialized training programs in production, photography and directing.
According to the press statement the platform targets qualifying Arab youth to the needs of the labour market through educational content in the Arabic language, due to the scarcity of professional training program in Arabic, as the Arabic content does not exceed 2% of the total content on the internet.
Yasser Fathy Chairperson of Alacademia.com said that the company seeks to become a platform available to all training and development companies in the Middle East and to provide various skills and knowledge through the platform in the Arabic language.
Ahmed Ashour, board member, and co-founder explained that the work began at the platform in January. “We seek to use the latest technologies to produce educational content, utilizing our long experience in the education and training field since 2013 for the Arab audience.
