The Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI), the training arm of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), has launched a free financial education course online, as part of the “For Tomorrow” initiative.
The course, which is available to the general public, was launched with the aim of increasing financial education and awareness of the banking sector in Egypt.
EBI Executive Director Abdul Aziz Nosseir said the institute launched the interactive training through its social media platforms as an introductory course to nurture Egypt’s financial culture.
Nosseir added that the course is part of the “For Tomorrow” initiative, a national initiative launched by the institute under the auspices of the CBE in 2012. It aims to spread and develop Egypt’s financial culture, whilst also developing citizens’ skills to make sound financial decisions.
He pointed out that the EBI has also launched a series of online talks, entitled ‘EBI Talks’. These allow for prominent experts to share their experiences in the financial sector.
Nossier noted that the talks give the public the opportunity to communicate with banking leaders and experts and benefit from their experiences. He expressed his happiness that Banque du Caire Chairperson Tarek Fayed, was the first expert to kick off the series of talks.
