As everyone has stocked up on essentials to get through the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, some have started to think about purchasing other products. While essential purchases continue to dominate consumer spending, it’s clear to see that online beauty sales are trending.
Avon has partnered with delivery service Otlob to offer a wide selection of beauty products with an easy and safe delivery process, while maintaining social distancing.
Otlob has recently launched several new services besides food delivery. Earlier this month, the company announced the launch of its groceries delivery service, as it partnered with major supermarkets in Egypt.
“The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting everyone and we are all facing an unprecedented situation, however, we wanted to reach out to our customers and provide them with what they need in the safest and most convenient way possible,” said Barbara Castioni, Head of Marketing and Digital Activation at Avon Egypt. “Partnering with Otlob will give us the chance to create an inclusive positive delivery experience.”
Otlob offers a simple ordering process, where customers can place their order online and reserve a contactless delivery option, with the order delivered within the hour.
A wide variety of the Avon range will be available in the new partnership, including a wide selection of personal detergents, soaps, shower gels, skincare products and fragrances to meet the consumer needs of this period.
For the time being, Avon products are available in limited areas in Cairo and Alexandria, but Otlob will soon be delivering to the rest of the country.
