Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea met on Thursday a delegation from Siemens Egypt to discuss activating the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the government and the international company to support industrial digitalisation and training in the country.
Gamea pointed out that the MoU aims to benefit from the company’s expertise in the fields of industrial zones development, automation, and digital operation in factories, education, training, energy conservation, industrial safety solutions, and environmental protection.
She added that the ministry is working currently on implementing some cooperation projects with Siemens, including establishment of an international digital platform for marketing Egyptian industry, along with an advanced training centre specialised in the Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, like Internet of Things, in cooperation with the Industrial Modernisation Centre.
