The Bavarian Auto Group, Egypt brand agent for BMW, has introduced the M50i version of the German brand’s multi-use X5 model.
The exterior design of the M50i has a very strong presence with a large ventilation grille and air intakes on both sides of the vehicle. It also boasts sporty gray rims, as well as an innovative, stand-out exhaust design.
The car also brings to the table high performance capabilities, as it relies on a 4.4-litre V8 engine equipped with an advanced turbocharger. It connects to an eight-speed, high power Steptronic gearbox of 530 hp, and 750 Nm of torque at 1800-4600 rpm. With this power on board, the car accelerates from zero to100 km/h in record time of only 4.3 seconds.
The engine is also characterised by its ability to operate using 92 or 95 octane petrol. The engine also comes with an impressive sound from the M sports exhaust, which responds to different driving modes among several extremely sporty or comfort-oriented driving modes.
To rein in the car’s immense power, the company has added advanced brakes to the M sports car division. The M differential gearbox aerodynamics package and adaptive suspension works alongside the integrated active steering system. It provides endless control for the driver of this version, which definitely complements the joy of driving with its powerful engine.
The rims are light metal sized 21 inch and Y-shaped. The dimensions of the rubber differ between the front and the back, as in the front part size 40/275 is used, and in the back the size 35/315 is used.
The car comes with a 360-degree vision system, a rear camera, front and rear parking distance control, and a “suction” door lock system.
The interior of the car stands out for its luxury, starting with Merino leather seats in three colours. It also features a 12.3-inch control screen and a 12.3-inch touch screen, connected to the navigation system. Furthermore, it contains the iDrive 7.0 system with the BMW’s advanced IPA smartphone assistant, in addition to Apple CarPlay.
The car has an air conditioning system with four different control areas for each individual passenger, and cup holders that cool or heat drinks. This comes in addition to two 10.2-inch tiltable screens for backseat passengers, adding more luxury to the car.
The Harman Kardon car sound system comes with a surround sound system and a 464-watt subwoofer, as well as 16 speakers carefully distributed across the car.
The car is available in the Egyptian market at EGP 2.7m, with a two-year warranty, not limited to the number of kilometres.
