Alexandria Company for Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Industries (Alex Co Pharma), a subsidiary of HoldiPharma, has established several new production lines for disinfectant products.
The new production lines have been established to meet the growing needs for disinfectant products in the Egyptian market on the back of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Chairperson and Managing Director Alaa Draz said the company has developed an integrated plan to produce new disinfectant products to cater to local market needs. The products contain various formulations manufactured according to the latest global quality standards applied in the pharmaceutical and disinfectant industries.
Draz added, “Alexandria Pharmaceuticals has been, and will always be keen, to invest in distinguished scientific and technical research, which will be reflected directly on society.”
He noted that his company intends to further its cooperation with the private sector in the coming period to produce a number of innovative products. The move is in line with the Egyptian authorities’ direction in supporting the private sector and maximising its role in development processes.
Alexandria Pharmaceuticals owns and produces over 185 pharmaceutical products. It currently boasts a huge production capacity at its two major factories, with daily production of about 250,000 pharmaceutical units.
