Universities in Egypt are increasingly turning to energy-efficient heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems, by partnering with the energy solutions provider, 365 Ecology.
The Cairo-based company specialises in innovative and integrated energy-efficient HVAC solutions, and have contracted to apply their technologies to some of Egypt’s largest projects across multiple new cities.
The majority of these new projects are ultra-modern educational institutions that look at placing Egypt on the international education arena.
Studies have shown the several benefits of an integrated and efficient building design. This includes reducing the energy and operating costs of universities and other facilities, whilst reducing the size and cost of HVAC systems needed to maintain an adequate building atmosphere. These have the added benefit of maintaining good indoor air quality and a comfortable environment for students.
“We were very proud to take part in shaping Egypt’s new educational platforms and offer our new and smart technologies,” said Osama Bekhit, Founder & Managing Director of 365 Ecology.
“With projects like the new European University and El Sewedy Education Knowledge Hub, both in the New Administrative Capital, we have the opportunity of making a difference with our solutions,” he added.
The European University and El Sewedy Education Knowledge Hub, alone, have seen over 2,700 refrigerating tonnes being provided in record time over multiple phases.
Bekhit added that HVAC systems account for nearly 56% of the energy used in commercial buildings in Egypt. Accordingly, almost any business has the potential to realise significant savings by improving its control of its HVAC system, whilst improving the efficiency of the systems utilised.
In addition to the projects in the New Capital, 365 Ecology is currently working on another educational project at the New Alamein City. This is in addition to a project at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) to provide three buildings with HVAC systems. With 365 Ecology’s wide inventory and commitment to delivering quality and respecting timelines, success was achieved in two months.
