The Cairo Opera House presented on Saturday its Hadoota Masreya (“Egyptian Tale”) celebration, with its young talent presenting some of Egypt’s most famous heritage and patriotic songs.
Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem said that her ministry is keen to support talented local artists.
She added that supporting and training talented young Egyptians through specialised academic methods will preserve the country’s unique identity, and direct the youngsters to adopt serious arts for self-expression.
Abdel Dayem noted that there has been great interest to participate in the Cairo Opera House’s newly opened talent development classes, indicating the need to establish such programmes across Egypt.
The minister added that supporting promising talent is one of the basic pillars for building the country’s future to create a new generation that carries the flag of Egyptian culture around the world.
The celebration was presented at the Cairo Opera House’s open-air fountain stage. The talented youngsters who took part in the musical concert performed a number of well-known folkloric and patriotic songs, accompanied by the Egyptian Orchestra.
