Telecom Egypt (TE) has announced the opening of admission to the WE Joint School for Applied Technology for Communications and Information Technology in Nasr City from 25 July to 8 August.
The school was redeveloped and renamed from the El-Shaheed Amr Moustafa Industrial Secondary School for girls.
The new technical school will offer students the specialisations of information and communications technology, computer technology, electronics systems, and electrical systems.
TE signed a cooperation protocol with the Ministries of Education, and Higher Education, at the beginning of July to develop an industrial school. The system of applied schools that were begun by the Ministry of Education in 2018 aims to create an integrated educational system capable of developing technical education in Egypt.
According to admission conditions, students must have a certificate stating they have completed and scored at least 250 points on the basic education, or general preparatory, stage. This would have been completed for the 2019/2020 academic year from the governorates included in Greater Cairo, namely Cairo, Giza, and Qaliubiya.
The student must be an Egyptian and not more than 18 years old on the first of October 2020. They should also be medically fit, and have passed the ability tests and personal interviews held at the school.
