Dolmen Developments has received offers from six contracting companies to develop The Pier Mall at the New Administrative Capital (NAC), according to the company’s Chairperson Abdelazim Khalil.
The offers come as part of a limited tender to choose a contractor for the project’s construction. The tender’s envelopes are scheduled to be opened early next week, Khalil said.
He noted that the tender includes construction and electromechanical works, with a timetable for the project’s completion to be agreed upon. The project is expected to be implemented in 18 months, divided into eight months for completing concrete work and the remaining period to finish the mall.
Covering a total of 3,000 sqm and worth a total of EGP 500m in investments, the Pier Mall is located in the NAC’s R3 district. It consists of a ground floor and two commercial floors that will be comprised of 150 stores, as well as an administrative floor with a total built-up area of 6,500 sqm.
Khalil pointed out that the construction schedule is under pressure, which requires the continuous pumping of more money to guarantee delivering units in the scheduled time. Moreover, the company has completed land settlement works for the entire project and drilling work has begun.
He elaborated that the company has acquired all approvals for the project as well as the required construction licences.
