Mohamed Magdi Al-Arabi, Director of Development and Production Laboratories at Al-Arabi Group, said the group has invested EGP 300m in the development and production sector since 2017.
During a press visit to the development laboratories at the company’s factories in Banha, Qaliubiya Governorate, Al-Arabi said the group’s pellet mill has played an important role in designing and producing about 20 families of new products.
He added that the company is negotiating with a number of international quality accreditation bodies for household appliances, to approve Al-Arabi laboratories as a centre for testing. The cooperation with the bodies will ensure that the company will be able to test products and grant them quality certificates, without having to send them abroad.
Al-Arabi anticipates that an agreement will be reached with an international quality and accreditation body before the end of this year.
