The Swedish Ambassador to Egypt, Jan Thesleff, participated, on 7 November, in Techne Summit 2020, the biggest international entrepreneurship and technology event which is taking place in Alexandria between 7-9 November.
This year’s summit will take place as a hybrid event, with 10,000 participants expected to attend, either physically or through virtual sessions.
Sweden will, for the fourth consecutive year, sponsor a pitching competition during Techne Summit in support of Egyptian entrepreneurs. The 2020 edition of the competition is focused on health-tech start-ups.
Three entrepreneurs will win a fully funded trip to Sweden in 2021, to meet with key actors leading the health tech revolution. The trip is organised by the Swedish Embassy in Egypt, together with the SweCare foundation and Business Sweden.
