Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry arrived in Kuwait, on Saturday, to deliver a message from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, according to a statement by Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
Egyptian Ambassador in Kuwait, Tariq Al-Qouni, said that Minister Shoukry’s visit aims at confirming the close relations between Egypt and Kuwait, asserting the deep-rooted ties between the two peoples.
Al-Qouni added in a press statement that Shoukry and Sheikh Nawaf will exchange views over several regional issues of mutual concern.
Shoukry will also meet with Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nasser.
Sheikh Nawaf, 83, assumed power on 30 September following the death of Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at 91.
