Egypt will launch the fifth annual conference of children’s literature on 18-19 November at the National Library and Archives – Dar El-Kotob.
This year’s conference, entitled “Children’s Literature and Egypt’s Vision 2030”, is organised by the Children’s Literature Documentation and Research Center at Dar El-Kotb.
Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem said that children are an essential pillar in the sustainable development strategy. She called upon Egyptian families to participate in such cultural activities as they shape the cognitive identity of children and give them the ability to learn and deepen their loyalty and belonging to the country.
The conference will include different activities related to children’s literature, such as workshops on innovation and scientific thinking among children, methods of raising children amid contemporary variables in the digital environment.
This year’s edition will also see meetings between specialists in the topic to discuss Egypt’s Vision 2030.
