Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi directed, on Sunday, for accelerating establishment of inspection laboratories at all Egyptian ports to expedite customs release procedures.
Al-Sisi’s remarks came during his meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to follow up on the establishment of inspection laboratories at the country’s ports, according to the presidency spokesperson Bassam Rady.
The meeting was also attended by Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait, Minister of Health and Population Hala Zayed, Minister of Transport Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation ElSayed ElKosayer, and Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea.
During the meeting, Al-Sisi asserted the importance of developing the current legislative framework governing the activity of port laboratories, in line with the comprehensive modernisation plans.
