Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi discussed with the Sudan Sovereignty Council’s Chief Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan bilateral relations during a phone call on Saturday.
Egyptian Presidency spokesperson Bassam Radi said that the call also tackled regional developments of mutual concern between Egypt and Sudan, as the two sides agreed to continue close consultation in the next period.
Al-Sisi congratulated Sudanese government and people on the occasion of their independence day, stressing Egypt’s support to Sudan across all fields.
Sudan marked it’s 65th anniversary of the country’s independence on 1 January 2021.
For his part, Al-Burhan expressed his appreciation for the Egyptian-Sudanese close relations and the constant efforts to boost bilateral cooperation.
