Egypt’s intelligence chief Abbas Kamel met with Hamdok, Al-Burhan, Hamidati in Khartoum

The head of Egypt’s General Intelligence Service (GIS), Abbas Kamel, met with Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, the head of Sudan’s Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burthan, and the deputy head Mohamed Hamdan Daglo (Hamidati) in Khartoum on Monday.

The head of Egypt’s General Intelligence Service (GIS), Abbas Kamel, met with Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, the head of Sudan’s Sovereign Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burthan, and the deputy head Mohamed Hamdan Daglo (Hamidati) in Khartoum on Monday.

Kamel has also met with Sudan’s intelligence chief, Jamal Abdel-Majeed.

The two sides tackled bilateral issues of interest at the regional and international levels and the latest developments regarding the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) talks.

GIS head congratulated Sudanese government and people on the occasion of their independence day, stressing Egypt’s support to Sudan across all fields. Sudan marked it’s 65th anniversary of the country’s independence on 1 January 2021.
