Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met, on Wednesday, with General Intelligence Service (GIS) Head Abbas Kamel, to discuss several issues related to the agency’s work.
The meeting also touched on the latest international and regional issues.
During the meeting, Kamel briefed the President on the outcomes of the GIS’s latest actions, manoeuvres, and overseas visits.
Both the President and GIS Head discussed the current updates regarding Egypt’s national security, particularly combating terrorism and extremism.
President Al-Sisi directed the GIS to continue its efforts, in cooperation with other state bodies and authorities, to preserve Egypt’s security and stability in support of its construction and development efforts.
