Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population announced, on Wednesday, that 55 people injured in an accident earlier in the day have been discharged from hospital following an improvement in their conditions.
Early on Wednesday, 58 people were wounded following a collision involving two buses on the Ismailia-Zagazig Agricultural Road due to the foggy weather. The two buses, which belonged to a private company, were transporting workers to the cities of Al-Tal Al-Kabir, Al-Qasasin, and Abu Sawyer.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Health and Population Spokesperson Khaled Mogahed said that 20 ambulances were sent to the location of the accident.
He added that the injured were transferred to the Chest Hospital in Ismailia, with injuries ranging from bone fractures, bruises, and abrasions.
Mogahed also said that three of those injured remain in hospital, in order to receive the necessary treatment and medical care.
