Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is participating, for the first time, in the 2021 Dyarna Handicrafts Exhibition, which is being held from 15 to 25 February at Cairo Festival City.
Iman Zidan, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for the Development of Archaeological Sites and Museums, said that the Ministry will present archaeological replicas produced by the new replicas factory, Kunooz.
The factory is scheduled to open soon to meet the demand for archaeological replicas, in addition to producing various handicrafts, traditional products, and Supreme Council of Antiquities publications.
Zidan said that the exhibition has been organised by the Ministry of Social Solidarity, and serves as one of the ministry’s largest handicrafts exhibitions. It aims to support and empower craftsmen, productive family owned associations, and owners of small and micro enterprises.
The exhibition falls in line with Egypt’s 2030 sustainable development strategy for the development of traditional industries and 100% Egyptian-made handicrafts.
