The Eastern Company recorded an increase in its sales during the first seven months of fiscal year (FY) 2020/21, as well as an increase in net profit during the same period.
According to a statement from the company to the Egyptian Exchange, on Thursday, the Eastern Company’s sales increased by 13.5% from July 2020 to January 2021 to record EGP 37.7bn, compared to EGP 33.2bn in the same period of the last fiscal year.
The company’s net profit during the period increased by 17% to EGP 2.95bn compared to EGP 2.5bn in the same period last fiscal year, according to the company’s statement.
During January 2021, sales increased by 15.6% to EGP 5.2bn from January 2020, according to the statement.
The Eastern Company is an Egyptian joint stock company, affiliated to the Holding Company for Chemical Industries.
