Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reaffirmed, on Monday, that there will be continued government efforts to implement the Sinai development plan across all sectors.
The work includes the implementation of several projects to develop hospitals and healthcare units in Sinai.
Madbouly met with Minister of Health and Population Hala Zayed to review the development projects carried out by the latter ministry in the governorates of North and South Sinai. These projects aim to improve the health services provided to citizens.
Zayed indicated that the first phase of the work to develop and raise the efficiency of the Al-Arish General Hospital has been completed.
She asserted that her ministry had already prepared all documents regarding the start of the project’s second phase. This part includes the construction of a 60 machine-capacity dialysis building, which also features seven intensive care beds.
She also explained that the ministry is working to develop a number of health units in the North Sinai governorate.
Moreover, Zayed confirmed that the development work was completed at a number of hospitals in South Sinai, including the Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital and Abu Rudeis Central Hospital. It comes in addition to the ongoing development and construction of seven other hospitals in South Sinai.
She said that the Ministry of Health and Population had also completed the development of two health units in South Sinai Governorate. At the same time, she affirmed that the ministry is about to complete seven health units, most of which will be opened to the governorate’s residents soon.
