The Egyptian Federation for Electronic Games has announced a training course in robotics science for 20 young graduates in Alexandria and Cairo.
The course aims to prepare them to train children and youth on robotics and information technology in youth centres.
It comes under the patronage of Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy, and in coordination with the Federation of Youth Centers.
Sherif Abdel Baky, President of the Federation of Youth Centers, said that the courses aim to ensure trainers are present to lay the groundwork for robotic competitions at youth centres. They are a continuation of cooperation between the two federations in the field of digital sports and graduating generations capable of competing in this field inside and outside Egypt.
Ayman Qabbani, head of the Federation’s Robot Committee, says that applicants should be graduates of the Faculties of Engineering, Computers and Information Technology.
The training programme aims to create trainers who have the skills to install, programme, and operate robots. The participants will receive a training programme in the basics of robotics (lego), design, how the robot works, the principle of its work, its connection, operation, and assignment of tasks.
