Egypt’s House of Representatives will receive the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Finance, Trade and Industry, Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and International Cooperation, on Sunday.
The ministers will attend to discuss statements they delivered at plenary sessions recently, with members to review these statements for detailed discussion at specific committees.
The specific committees at the House of Representatives will also discuss a number of briefing requests, international agreements and draft laws, on Sunday, in the presence of the government ministers.
Discussions will take place regarding economic cooperation protocols between Egypt and Italy.
This comes in addition to the Plan and Budget Committee’s discussions on the presidential decision No 71 of 2021 regarding the approval of exchanged letters between the government of Egypt and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).
The decision relates to the AECID’s provision of a €200,000 grant to the Egyptian Government, to finance the “Strengthening Egyptian Governmental Institutes with a view to Improving Public Service” project. The agreement was signed in Cairo on 19 November and 16 December last year.
The committee is also discussing a draft final account for the budget covering the Ministry of Justice and its affiliates for fiscal year (FY) 2019/20. This includes discussions on the final account for the National Authority for Military Production’s budget for FY 2019/20.
The Foreign Affairs Committee will hold a meeting in the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry, as part of the consultation and exchange of views on the state’s foreign policy. This also relates to Egypt’s international position and international policy developments regarding current issues.
The Energy and Environment Committee is discussing the statement by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla, which he delivered to the Council in its session on 31 January.
The statement was made to review the Ministry’s work in light of what has been implemented of the government’s programme.
