Sheikh Zayed city will host its seventh Book Fair on 1-12 April, with the fair to be held at the Zayed Entrance 2.
The event will take place under the patronage of: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly; Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem; Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar; Giza Governor Ahmed Rashid; and the Egyptian Publishers Association.
The fair is being organised by the Zayed Foundation for Creativity and Development, headed by Adel Lotfy.
According to Mahmoud Abdel Naby, the book fair’s manager, the seventh edition will be held under strict precautionary measures due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The fair will provide large corridors between the wings, and ventilation outlets every 15 metres have been established. Meanwhile, face-masks and sterilising material will be provided for all visitors to ensure maximum safety for all those attending.
Abdel Naby said that there will be publications from numerous Egyptian publishing houses, including the General Egyptian Book Organization (GEBO), Dar El-Shorouk, the Egyptian-Lebanese Publishing House, and many others.
