Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Authority (ITIDA), affiliated with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and Ottawa University have signed a cooperation agreement.
Amr Talaat, Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Dr Jacques Fremont, President and Vice-Chancellor of Ottawa University, signed the agreement.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Egypt’s Ambassador to Canada, Ahmed Abu Zeid.
The cooperation agreement is the first of its kind signed by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology with top international universities, and comes as part of the Digital Egypt Builders Initiative.
It sets the path for implementing an academic programme in postgraduate studies for more than 300 Egyptian students over a period of three years.
This will allow these students to acquire Master’s degrees in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), data science, the Internet of things (IoT), and robotics.
