Egypt’s Supreme Council for Culture has announced the launch of the 2021 competition, entitled “Their Creativity for Female Plastic Artists”, aimed at female artists under 35 years old.
The Council’s Plastic Arts and Architecture Committee has organised competitions in the field of Sculptures, in cooperation with the conferences secretariat and competitions management.
These include ceramics, sculpture, and surfaces that include oil painting, drawing, graphics of all kinds, as well as all forms of textile arts.
The results of the competition will be announced on 20 May, to coincide with the opening of an exhibition of selected samples of some of the works submitted to the competition. These will be exhibited at Supreme Council for Culture’s hall, with the exhibition set to run until 28 May.
The Competition has allocated EGP 50,000 for prizes, which will be distributed equally among five categories, namely: the Oil Painting Competition; the Prize for Anthropomorphic Work; the Prize for Graphics Competition; the Prize for Drawings Competition; and the Weaving Arts Prize.
