The Arab Parliament has condemned the launch of a “booby-trapped” drone and ballistic missiles by the Houthi militia in Yemen towards the Saudi regions of Najran and Khamis Mushait.

The missiles and drone were confronted by Saudi Arabia’s air defences and destroyed.

In a statement on Monday, the Arab Parliament warned “against the continuation of terrorist acts by the Houthi militia.”

This reflects its determination to continue its sinful attacks on Saudi Arabia, which are considered “war crimes”, the statement added.

It also indicated that the Iranian-backed Houthis have rejected calls to end the war in Yemen, and reach a peaceful solution that ends the suffering of the Yemeni people.

It called on the international community to take urgent and decisive action against the crimes and violations against humanity committed by the terrorist militia, and to hold the perpetrators of these crimes accountable.

The Arab Parliament renewed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia regarding these terrorist attacks. It voiced its support in all the measures the country takes to preserve its security and the safety of its citizens and residents.

It affirmed that Saudi Arabia’s security is an integral part of the Arab national security system.

The Arab Parliament praised the efficiency and professionalism of the coalition forces in supporting Yemen’s legitimacy, and their high capabilities in intercepting and destroying the threats launched by the terrorist militia.

It also applauded the coalition’s methods of dealing firmly with the militia to protect civilians and civilian areas from hostile attacks.
