Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population sent, on Sunday, three military aircrafts to India, loaded with large quantities of medical aid.
The Egyptian shipments came within the framework of support and solidarity with friendly countries, and in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, according to a statement from the spokesperson of the Armed Forces.
According to the statement, the shipments were aimed to reduce the burden on the Indian people due to the rapid spread of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
India is suffering from high rates of infection and death due to COVID-19 amid an acute shortage of medicines, medical supplies, and prevention and protection tools.
