Egypt’s national handball team will undergo training at a closed camp in Cairo that will start on 5 June in preparation for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics scheduled for July.
The handball team is then set to leave for Spain, on 27 June, to participate in an international tournament that includes Spain, Egypt, and Croatia.
The team is scheduled to travel from Spain on 2 July to France, where it will enter a training camp and play an international friendly match against France on 5 July. It will then complete the camp in France on 8 July.
On 9 July, the team will head to Germany for a three-round tournament including the host country and Brazil.
Following the tournament, the team will return to Cairo on 12 July in preparation for travelling to Japan.
It is set to begin its confrontations at the Tokyo Olympics, which were postponed from last year due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, at 12:30 pm on 24 July, where they will play against Portugal. The Pharaohs will also face Denmark, Japan, Sweden, and Bahrain at the group stages.
