Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled El-Anani met, on Thursday, Ambassador of Ukraine in Cairo Yevhen Mykytenko, to discuss enhancing cooperation in the field of tourism between both countries.
Ukraine was the second market exporting tourism to Egypt, before the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. It was also one of the first countries to export tourists to Egypt after the resumption of inbound tourism early July 2020.
The Ambassador praised the ongoing support of the Egyptian government to the tourism sector, including the vaccination of tourism workers, and the strict hygiene safety measures.
He added that Egypt is one the most important tourist destinations to the Ukrainians.
