A Palestinian delegation, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Ziad Abu Amr, arrived to Egypt, on Sunday, to meet with Egyptian officials regarding reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian news agencies reported.
According to the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA), the delegation includes: Minister of Economy Khaled Al-Aseeli; Minister of Housing Mohamed Ziara; Minister of Agriculture Riyad Al-Atari; Minister of Local Government Magdi Al-Saleh; Undersecretary at the Civil Affairs Authority Ayman Kandil; and advisor in the Prime Minister’s Office Istifan Salameh.
The ministerial delegation is scheduled to meet with a number of Egyptian officials, especially those specialised in reconstruction issues.
In a related issue, the Egyptian authorities have resumed the exceptional opening of the Rafah border crossing to receive those wounded in the last Israeli aggression, as well as critical cases.
According to the Middle East News Agency (MENA), medical equipment, reconstruction materials, and Egyptian technical staff are being transported to Gaza.
MENA added that the crossing’s administration will facilitate the transport of wounded individuals and residents from the Gaza Strip who require critical medical attention.
