Egypt launched the fourth edition of the Hurghada International Art Carnival, on Friday, located on the city’s tourist walkway.
The event is taking place with the participation of Egypt and 15 countries from around the world. This is in addition to a large delegation of plastic artists from Russia, including professors from art academies in different cities across the country.
The countries participating in the carnival include: Germany; Russia; Italy; Albania; Saudi Arabia; Syria; Ukraine; North Macedonia; Jordan; and Belgium.
The carnival includes workshops on different aspects of art, such as drawing, photography, sculpting, and modelling, as well as masterclasses by senior players of oriental music from Cairo.
The events will also include the “Hurghada in the Eyes of Artists and Residents” event and children’s workshops.
Plastic artist Mohamed Hamida, the carnival’s organiser, said that the event will see multiple activities coinciding with the return of tourism to Red Sea governorate cities. It also takes into account the completion of the vaccination programme against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) for tourism sector workers in the governorate.
Moreover, the plastic artist Nancy Nagy has confirmed that she is participating in the carnival, and will be exhibiting two paintings on women, as well as a drawing session on boats. She indicated that she participated in the third session by drawing on boats, and presented a successful work that won the admiration of visitors to the walkway.
