Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem is set to announce, on 27 June, the winners of the Young Innovator State Award at a press conference at the Cairo Opera House.
Under the patronage of Egypt’s First Lady Entissar Al-Sisi, the award ceremony will include a choral and ballet show by young performers from the Opera Talent Development Center.
The award is granted annually to any candidate under the age of 18, and who has created an innovative intellectual or material product.
The award is divided into two age groups, covering from the 5 to 12 years age group as a first level, and from above 12 to 18 years as the second group.
The award includes three cultural sectors, namely: literature, arts, and innovation i.e. mobile applications and websites.
Winners shall be supported to refine and develop their talents through state institutions, which is the primary goal of issuing the award’s regulations.
