Al Ahly Momken for electronic payments solutions has signed a cooperation protocol with the National Authority for Social Insurance to provide the former’s e-payment services for social insurance beneficiaries.
The new service will allow the Social Insurance Authority to collect premiums electronically.
Samir Abu Hashem, CEO and Managing Director of Al Ahly Momken, said that the new service will target both public and private sector employees through a network of 50,000 points of sale (POS) nationwide. This figure will increase to 150,000 POS nationwide during fiscal year 2021/22.
Abu Hashem stressed that the company achieved unexpected growth rates during the last stage, and that it is in the process of launching a package of new governmental or non-governmental services, such as e-payment of university fees, and launching an electronic platform for food corporates payment solutions.
Gamal Awad, head of the National Authority for Social Insurance, said the protocol comes in the framework of the authority’s plan to implement digital transformation over the next two years.
