Ostool, a leading Egyptian transport company, has signed a contract with Ascom for Carbonate and Chemicals Manufacturing.
Under the contract, Ostool will be responsible for transporting crude containers from Ascom factories in Minya governorate to ports across Egypt, especially the port at Ain Sokhna, for transport.
The partnership demonstrates Ostool’s success, and the trust it enjoys with customers, especially in light of its commitment to the highest levels of industrial security.
Tamer Badrawi, CEO of Ostool, expressed his pleasure with the cooperation, which he said contributes to diversifying the company’s customer portfolio. It also supports Ostool’s efforts in promoting the export activities of Egyptian products.
Ostool owns a fleet of over 250 transport trucks, and performs varied activities including work in the cement and mining sectors, grains, building materials, and various goods. It has recently entered the field of transporting materials.
Ascom is a subsidiary of Citadel Group, and is one of the leading companies in Egypt in the field of manufacturing calcium carbonate products. It serves a number of industries, particularly paper, paints, plastics, and chemicals.
The company’s factories include four production lines with a total capacity of 425,000 tonnes annually. A total of 85% of the company’s production is exported in containers to many international markets in South Asia, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, and many major African markets.
