A delegation from South Sudan, led by Minister of Irrigation Manawa Peter Kadkoth, arrived in Cairo, on Thursday, on a several-day visit to discuss the latest developments of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) crisis.
Kadkoth met his Egyptian counterpart Mohamed Abdel-Aty and discussed boosting cooperation between Cairo and Juba in the areas of irrigation.
The Egyptian Minister visited South Sudan late June also to discuss the Ethiopian dam crisis.
At the time, Abdel-Aty met with senior officials, including Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of South Sudan.
