Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, and Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea inaugurated, on Sunday, the fifth Higher Education Exhibition, with the participation of 40 universities and institutes.
The exhibition will run for two days, providing an opportunity for all universities and institutes to promote their best programmes.
The exhibition will display the different specializations in each university in order to help students choose the appropriate faculty for their abilities and skills. The exhibition is held in Nasr City’s Cairo International Fair.
During the opening ceremony Abdel Ghaffar said that the Egyptian state had made a great effort to advance higher education, including the establishment of four new public universities, and establishing 100 colleges in addition to establishing three technological universities.
He added that four smart private universities with international specifications had also been established, while 14 private universities are currently being established.
The minister added that 18 new private universities have been established, thus doubling the number of private universities to 36, as well as the establishment of 14 new private higher institutes.
Abdel Ghaffar met with a number of representatives of public and private universities and institutes and reviewed their latest measures to develop the educational process, and the new programs they offer to meet the needs of the local and international labor market.
