Egypt has expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the Sudanese government and people over the floods that recently swept a number of Sudanese states, and led to the death of dozens and the destruction of homes.
Egypt has affirmed its full solidarity with Sudan in these circumstances. It affirmed its confidence in the ability of Sudan and its brotherly people to overcome this crisis.
The death toll from the devastating floods reached 52, including 26 in the Nile River state, in the northern region, a Sudanese official said on Monday.
A spokesperson for the Sudanese National Council for Civil Defense revealed that 3,890 homes completely collapsed, and more than 12,500 homes partially collapsed.
