Egyptian government follows up on progress of ‘Decent Life’ projects

Egypt’s Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Abdel Aty has held a meeting with Ali Menoufy, the head of the Egyptian General Survey Authority, to follow up on the situation of the Authority’s ongoing projects.

During the meeting on Monday, Abdel Aty stated that the Survey Authority carried out the necessary survey work in all towns covered by the presidential initiative “Decent Life” which targeted the development o the countryside, including 501 sites in 21 governorates.

The meeting also reviewed the efforts made by the authority in the field of survey work and land expropriation within the scope of projects implemented by the state in various governorates.

The Survey Authority is coordinating with the Ministry of Transport in carrying out surveying works within the development project of the Cairo-Alexandria desert road with a length of 160 km in Giza, Beheira, Menoufia, and Alexandria governorates.

Cooperation also includes the electric train project (Ain Al-Sokhna – El Alamein) within Suez, Cairo, Giza, Beheira, and Alexandria governorates. A distance of 300 km has already been completed.
